Fair Visitors Centers Will Help Answer Qestions
FREDERICK, MD--Three Visitors Centers will be offered at the 2003 Great Frederick Fair to provide day to day information to the fair's many spectators. The centers will be open daily from September 13-20. The fair however, opens to the public Friday, Sept. 12.
The centers, housed in gazebos, will be located in three strategic locations throughout the grounds...adjacent to Building 3; near Gate 1 between Building 9 (Household Building) and Building 12 (4-H Building); and on Machinery Row.
The fair initiated the Visitors Centers at the 1996 fair, seeing a need to keep the public informed during fair week. "We want to make sure that everyone can find out what is being offered around the grounds each day," said fair board President J.R. Ramsburg, Jr. "The Visitors Centers are a great source of information for all, even those who are familiar with the fair."
The centers will be supplied with the fair's schedule of events, maps of the grounds, listing of all the commercial exhibitors and concessionaires, as well as information on what types of exhibits can be found in the various buildings and barns.
"We are grateful for Diversions Publications sponsorship of our Visitors Centers," Ramsburg said. "Without their support we would not be able to provide this great service to our spectators."
