All nine days/nights of the 142nd
Great Frederick Fair will feature
entertainment in front of the grandstand come
this September, and the
fair is again offering one of the best lineups of country music
performers available. The fair's dates are September 17-25.
The 2004 fair will kickoff on the
first night, Friday, Sept. 17,
with the crowning of the 2004-05 4-H Royalty, the
announcement
of the county’s new Farm Family of the Year, and the recognition
of some of the county’s top students in the Character Counts
Program. It all
begins at 7 p.m. in front of the grandstand
Musical entertainment starts in
front of the grandstand
at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, with
Jo Dee Messina. "The whole
week from beginning to end is filled with great entertainment,"
said Dr. James McClellan, chairman of the fair's Entertainment Committee.
"We
are very fortunate to still be able to attract some of the biggest and
best
names in country music."
Ticket prices do not include
admission to the fairgrounds and
there is a $1 per ticket handling fee
for all mail orders.
