GREAT FREDERICK FAIR CATALOGS AVAILABLE AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS

FREDERICK-- The 142ndt Great Frederick Fair catalogs are now available at the fair’s Administration Office and local libraries. This year’s catalog is also available on the fair’s website, www.thegreatfrederickfair.com.

The catalog contains information about classes offered in the household, arts and crafts, farm and garden, livestock and 4-H departments at this year's "Ag-Sensuate Your Senses...Touch IT! Hear IT! See IT! Taste IT! Smell IT! The fair will be held September 17-25.

Frederick-based design company, HDI Corporation, provided the cover design of the catalog. "The fair is a long-standing tradition in Frederick," said fair board President J.R. Ramsburg, Jr. "This year’s cover design reflects all that a fair has to offer."

The catalog also features advertisements from many area individuals and businesses. "We appreciate the support of our advertisers," Ramsburg said. "Their generosity provides for the printing of our catalog."

Exhibitors can now enter their exhibits on-line at www.thegreatfrederickfair.com (excluding the alpaca, draft horse and mule, and poultry entries). This convenient on-line entry system has been improved to make the entry process simpler and quicker. Entries can also be mailed to The Great Frederick Fair; P.O. Box 604; Frederick, MD 21705, unless otherwise noted in the fair catalog. Open class livestock entries are due to the fair office by August 15.

Fair participants are strongly encouraged to read the rules and regulations to abide by for entry dates and times and class entries.

At the on-line entry level, open class livestock exhibitors will virtually click and choose which fairs they want their entries submitted to. Entry payments on the secured site will be required and capable via credit card.

Pre-registration is not required in the Household and Farm and Garden Departments at The Great Frederick Fair, but the option is available on-line. Those entering in the 4-H divisions should consult the fair catalog for specific entry deadlines.

Only Frederick County residents are permitted to enter items in the household, arts, crafts, and farm and garden departments at The Great Frederick Fair. The open class livestock divisions, however, are open to anyone in Frederick County, Maryland, or out-of-state. All premium checks will be mailed to all exhibitors following the fair.
